The scores for the CHI™ oral performance exam are emailed to the candidate within 6-8 weeks after the last day of the corresponding testing window. E.g., you took the CHI exam during the winter testing window on January 30, and the last day of the window is February 13, you will receive the score within 6-8 weeks after 2/14, i.e. between March 28 – April 11. Yes, the exam fee is for one (1) administration only. If you fail, you must wait for a specific period, and then pay the exam fee again. The waiting for retake of the CoreCHI™ exam is 90 days, for a CHI™ exam – 90 days or until the next testing window whichever is sooner.

The appointment is scheduled for 1 hour and 30 minutes. The CHI™ oral performance exam, itself, is 60 minutes. Before you start/launch the exam, you have about 20-25 minutes to read the instructions and take a brief demo of the exam (in order to check the speakers volume and the mike), – this time does not count towards the exam time. During the actual 60 minutes of the exam, you will have a timer in the top left-hand corner of the screen to show you how many minutes are left.

CCHI exams are administered by the testing company Prometric. Scheduling of the exams can be done only after you receive the Notice to Schedule email from CCHI because only then your information is uploaded to the Prometric system. You can always login to your CCHI Profile account and check our emails under the “Communications” tab. The Notice to Schedule contains detailed instructions.

The CoreCHI exam can be scheduled for any day of the week, depending on the testing site availability.

The CHI exams must be scheduled only within the specified testing windows (available at our Scheduling webpage).

Rescheduling/Cancellation Process:

• If you do it, 30 or more days before the exam date – no additional fee.
• If you reschedule/cancel within 6-29 days before the exam date, you must pay the $35 reschedule/cancellation fee.
• If you want to cancel/reschedule your already scheduled exam less than 5 calendar days before the exam date (i.e. 1-5 days before the exam date), you, FIRST, must contact CCHI and pay the $150 reschedule/cancellation fee.
• If you don’t show up for the scheduled exam, OR if you are more than 10 minutes late, your exam fee is forfeited, and you’ll have to contact CCHI and pay again the full exam fee.
