Setting the Course for the Next 15
Get ready for an exciting collaboration that’s set to rock the world of healthcare interpreting! Brace yourself as the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) teams up with The University of Houston Downtown (UHD) Department of History, Humanities, and Languages for two days, April 5 & 6, in Houston, TX, brimming with educational enrichment and networking with other passionate industry professionals.
This event is an opportunity to influence the future of the healthcare language access landscape. We’re calling on all healthcare interpreters, interpreter trainers, language services providers, healthcare organization leaders, university students, and faculty to join us for a truly unique experience! The Summit’s hashtag is #CCHI15 – follow us and share your thoughts!

When: 4 – 6 pm
Where: Angel Share (924 Congress St., Downtown Houston, TX 77002; https://www.angelsharehtx.com/) which is a 12-minute walk from the UHD campus.
Cost: Free, but registration is required (It is part of the registration above.)

Parking: $10 at the UH Downtown Visitor Parking Lot (201 Girard Street, Houston, TX 77002). OR: there are City lots around the campus also available.

Certificate of attendance: Provided at the end of the day; April 5 – 3 CE hrs, April 6 – 5.25 CE hrs from CCHI and 0.425 CEUs from RID
Lodging:
We reserved a special-rate block of rooms at this Marriott-operated hotel located within 15-minute walking distance from the event venue (and also on the light rail line). The special CCHI Summit rate can be applied to your stay on April 4 through April 7.
