How can I get my training programs approved for performance-based (PB) CE credit?

For more information on what kind of courses constitute performance-based continuing education, please visit https://cchicertification.org/renew-certification/renewal-process/ and look at the drop-down labeled “Definition and examples of performance-based training.”

In order to request PB designation on a course application, please specify the number of PB hours you are requesting in the course description. Make sure that you attach the full agenda/syllabus of the course on the application as well, so that our reviewers can properly determine whether to classify it as “PB or not PB.”

Once the determination is made, we will contact you to inform you of the amount of PB hours approved. If you don’t receive an answer within a week of your course approval, please reach out to admin@cchicertification.org to confirm.

How can I get a training course accredited by CCHI/CEAP?

CCHI administers the national Continuing Education Accreditation Program (CEAP) to allow training providers to accredit their continuing education programs/courses, as well as to accredit conferences and other events organized by interpreter and translator associations.

Please read the CEAP Manual and visit the CEAP website at www.ceapcchi.org for more information.
