On April 5-6, 2024, in Houston, TX, the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters (CCHI) teamed up with The University of Houston Downtown (UHD) Department of History, Humanities, and Languages for two days brimming with educational enrichment and networking with other passionate industry professionals.
Healthcare interpreters, interpreter trainers, language services providers, healthcare organization leaders, university students, and faculty joined us for a truly unique experience! The Summit’s hashtag is #CCHI15 – follow us and share your thoughts!

Healthcare Interpreter Appreciation Day Proclamation by Lina Hidalgo
To commemorate the hard work of healthcare interpreters in Harris County (and beyond), Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo proclaimed April 6, 2024 as "Healthcare Interpreter Certification Day." Hear a reading of the proclamation by CCHI Chair Vonessa Costa.

Where: Angel Share (924 Congress St., Downtown Houston, TX 77002; https://www.angelsharehtx.com/) which is a 12-minute walk from the UHD campus.

Certificate of attendance: Provided at the end of the day; April 5 – 3 CE hrs, April 6 – 5.25 CE hrs from CCHI and 0.425 CEUs from RID
