Interpreter Advocacy & Resources

Interpreters play a vital role in ensuring accurate, ethical communication and facilitating equal access for individuals with limited English proficiency or who are Deaf or hard of hearing. Yet, in today’s shifting landscape, interpreters face complex challenges as they carry out this essential work.

Our goal is to equip interpreters with the knowledge and resources to safeguard their well-being while fulfilling their role in ensuring accurate and ethical communication, and facilitating equal access to health care for individuals who have limited English proficiency or are Deaf or hard of hearing. All people have the right to be heard, understood, and able to respond.

CCHI is committed to supporting interpreters in all circumstances and ensuring they have access to the resources they need. To that end, we are providing guidance and tools to help interpreters navigate challenges of changing policies with confidence and professionalism.
