CCHI’s Chair Margarita Bekker will facilitate a conversation with Bill Rivers, Executive Director of Joint National Committee for Languages–National Council for Languages and International Studies (JNCL–NCLIS), and Don Schinske, Executive Director of California Healthcare Interpreting Association (CHIA) and Advocacy Director of Cal Capitol Group, about how healthcare interpreters can successfully advocate for their profession and for Limited English proficient patients at the local, state, and federal levels. The panelists will share their experiences and suggestions about effective strategies of engaging with legislators at different levels. The webinar is accredited by CEAP/CCHI for 1 CE hour.
